Dr Louis Fick grew up in die picturesque town of Stellenbosch, from which university he also obtained his medical degree in 2001. After internship he practised medicine in several different areas that included general practice, ear nose and throat, occupational health, and internal medicine. He also obtained diplomas in emergency medicine and anaesthetics from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.

He then set sail and broadened his horizons by working in the American and British healthcare systems as general physician in the maritime industry, treating patients from multiple nationalities. He is currently still registered at the general medical council in the UK.

He then set his aim on dermatology in which he obtained his master’s degree from the university of Cape Town and the fellowship at the Colleges of Dermatologists of South Africa.

Currently Dr Fick is in private dermatology practice in Stellenbosch. He does aesthetic work in Bloubergstrand and runs a dermatology clinic for less privileged patients in the community at the Stellenbosch provincial hospital.
